Delete your account
You can delete your BookMyLove account at any time, from the app or with the form below. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account.
In the app (fastest)
- Open BookMyLove and go to Profile → Privacy & security.
- Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. You are signed out straight away.
What is deleted straight away
- Your profile: name, photos and videos, bio, interests, city, time and place of birth, who you’d like to meet, what you’re looking for, your settings and where your phone is. Nobody can find, scan or message you any more.
- Your QR code. Anyone who scans a printed copy sees nothing.
- Your photos, videos and live-selfie images, removed from our storage. Files that our checks rejected, that are still waiting to be checked, or that are part of a report are kept privately as evidence instead (see the Privacy Policy).
- Any connection requests still waiting for an answer.
What we keep for 180 days, then erase
India's IT Rules, 2021 require us to keep some records for 180 days after an account is deleted, so we can handle complaints, safety investigations and lawful requests. For that period we keep your phone number or email address, your sign-in record, your date of birth, gender and home country, your chats, connection, scan and call history, reports made by or about you, safety and verification records, and your purchase records. An analysis by Horoscope by Act of Stars that was already delivered stays available to the other person in it. The account cannot be used to sign in during this time. After 180 days all of it is permanently erased.
A banned account, or one we must preserve for an investigation, can’t be deleted until that ends. If we ban an account, we keep a scrambled copy of its mobile number and email address so they can’t be used to join again.
Deleting your account does not refund a pass bought through the App Store or Google Play. Passes never renew, so there is nothing to cancel. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google.
