Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and BookMyLove when you use the app or this website. Please read them with our Community Guidelines, Privacy Policy and Child Safety Standards, which are part of them.
Last updated 4 November 2026. BookMyLove is run by BookMyLove (“we”, “us”).
1. What BookMyLove is
BookMyLove helps people who are looking for a life partner meet in real life. Everyone has a personal QR code to wear or show. Scanning someone’s code is how you connect. When a man scans a woman’s code — and for every LGBTQ+ connection, and for anyone who turns on “Always ask me first” — nothing is shared until the other person approves. BookMyLove is for dating to marry: it is not for flings, hook-ups, casual sex or anything paid.
2. Who can use it
You can use BookMyLove only if all of these are true:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You are looking for a serious relationship that can lead to marriage, and you are not married (or you are legally separated, divorced or widowed).
- You can make a binding agreement, and the law where you live doesn’t stop you using a service like this.
- You have not been banned from BookMyLove, and you have not been convicted of a sexual offence or an offence involving violence or children.
You may have one account. It must be about you: your real first name, your real date of birth, and recent photos of you.
3. Your account
- Keep your password and sign-in codes to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- Your gender, date of birth and home country can’t be changed after sign-up, because they decide how connections work. Write to us if one is wrong.
- Your QR code links to your profile. Wear or share it only where you are happy to be approached. You can get a new code at any time, which stops the old one working — including printed copies.
4. Local laws and travelling
The laws of the country your phone is in decide who you can connect with there. In countries where same-gender relationships are illegal, or where we have been advised not to offer an option, BookMyLove only offers what is allowed. Your code works only in the country your phone is in. We work this out from your phone’s location, or, if you don’t allow location, from the country you tell us you’re in when you scan; giving us false location information breaks these terms.
5. How you must behave
Zero tolerance. BookMyLove has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. We review every report within 24 hours; content that breaks these terms is removed, and the account that posted it is suspended or closed.
You agree to follow our Community Guidelines. In short, you must not:
- use BookMyLove for hook-ups, casual sex, “sugar” arrangements or anything you pay for or are paid for;
- harass, threaten, stalk, insult or pressure anyone, or contact someone who has declined, blocked or reported you;
- post nudity, sexual content, violence or hate, or ask anyone for intimate photos;
- pretend to be someone else, lie about your age, your relationship status or your intentions, or use someone else’s photos;
- ask anyone for money, sell anything, advertise or promote other services;
- use BookMyLove to harm a child in any way — see our Child Safety Standards;
- copy, scrape, reverse-engineer or overload the app, or get around its safety features — for example by faking your location or making a new account after a ban.
6. What you post
You keep the rights to your photos, videos and words. You give us a licence to store, show and process them only as needed to run BookMyLove and keep it safe — for example, showing your profile to people who scan your code, and checking photos and messages. The licence ends when you delete them or your account, apart from copies we must keep by law (see the Privacy Policy).
You confirm you have the right to post what you post, and that it shows you. We check photos, videos and messages automatically and with people, and we may refuse, remove or stop anything that breaks these terms, without notice.
7. Safety
We build safety into BookMyLove — consent before connecting, verified badges, photo and message checks, reporting and blocking — but we can’t check everyone’s background or guarantee how anyone will behave. You are responsible for your own interactions. Meet in public, tell a friend where you are, and never send money. If someone breaks these terms or makes you feel unsafe, report them in the app. In an emergency in India, call 112.
8. Passes and purchases
- You get free scans when you join. Passes give unlimited scans for 7 days, 1 month or 3 months. A pass is a one-off purchase and never renews. A second pass starts when the first ends.
- The full horoscope analysis by Horoscope by Act of Stars is a one-off purchase for you and someone you’re connected with, written after you have both shared your birth details. It is for guidance and fun, not a prediction you should rely on for decisions.
- You pay through the App Store or Google Play, and their terms apply to payment and refunds. Ask Apple or Google for a refund; if they refund you, what you bought is taken back.
- Prices are shown in the app before you buy and include taxes where required.
- If we close your account for breaking these terms, unused pass days are not refunded, except where the law says otherwise.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app or at bookmylove.com/delete-account. We may warn you, limit what you can do, suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect others. Repeated abusive messages close an account automatically. If you think we got it wrong, write to our Grievance Officer.
10. Our responsibility
We provide BookMyLove “as is”. We work to keep it running, accurate and safe, but we don’t promise that it will always be available, that you will meet someone, or that other users are who they say they are. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for what other users do on or off BookMyLove, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
You agree to compensate us for losses caused by your breaking these terms or the law.
11. Changes
We may update BookMyLove and these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using BookMyLove after that, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree, you can delete your account.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction, without taking away any right you have to bring a claim where you live. Please write to us first — most problems can be solved quickly.
13. Grievance Officer
Under India’s Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, complaints about content or conduct on BookMyLove can be sent to our Grievance Officer at grievance@bookmylove.com. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days. Content that shows nudity or sexual acts of a person, or impersonates them, is removed within 24 hours of a complaint by that person.
